1. I have never ran a 5k before, will it be safe?


A. The team at the Royal 5K work very closely with the appropriate organisations to ensure that every competitor and spectator is safe throughout the course of the events, there will be full marshal support who are first aid trained, St Johns Ambulance services and security to ensure you personal well-being and safety.


2. Can I race as part of a team?


A. As this is a fun run event, you are welcome to race with friends, families and loved ones, you can all run walk or jog your way to the finish line together on the day!


3. Can children enter this event?


A. Yes of course, there will be entries on the day for the kids races, the distances are 2000m, 1000m and 500m.


4. What if I have entered and can no longer race for any reason?


A. We understand that not everyone that enters can race on the day, as soon as you advise us we will defer you entry to the following year’s event at no extra cost to you.


5. Can I get a refund on my entry?


A. Unfortunately, we are unable to give refunds and we will defer your place to next year or you can opt for someone to take your place on race day

 

6. What about my race number and timing chip?


A. All participants will be able to collect their numbers and timing chip from the registration marquee on Devonshire from 8.00am on 29th April. Just head towards the desk that has your surname. It couldn't be easier!


7. What shall I wear?


A. Fancy dress is actively encouraged for this fun event, the wackier you are dressed, the more fun you will have!!


8. I am travelling into the event by car/train, where do I go?


A. By Train - The train station is on Sea Road, take an immediate right (Endwell Road) as you leave and follow the road to Devonshire Road, you will see us there!


By Car - 

From A259 Hastings - Enter Bexhill on A269 (Dorset Road) and follow road to Sea Road junction, turn left and head towards Seafront, turning left at the seafront, parking is on public roads.


From A259 Eastbourne - Enter Bexhill on A269 (London Road) follow the road to Town Hall Square, parking is on public roads and you are approximately a 2 min walk from registration on Devonshire Road.


Road Closures are in place from 7.30am until 12.00pm on Devonshire Road, West Parade, Marina, there will be no access or parking allowed on the road, if you are travelling in to the event, there is plenty of parking outside of the town centre and surrounding areas, ensure you leave enough time to arrive safely, park and get to registration.
