2012 Royal 5K

Although Will and Kate are now happily married, we thought it would still be fun to have another Royal themed 5K in 2012. We're in the process of finalising the date and details but wanted to give you advance warning to give you plenty of time to polish up your tiaras and crowns! As before, we'll also be having a Children's Race, so younger princes and princesses can also be part of the fun...

Thanks & Results

Thank you to everyone who came and took part in the Royal 5k Fun Run, it was a great atmosphere with lots of people getting into fancy dress to celebrate the Royal Wedding day!

We hope you enjoyed the event and are proud of the fantastic Royal Medal you received!

Well done to all the kids, it is always great to see the youngsters taking part in sport, and for them to have 150 spectators cheering them home is a special thing and not something that happens too often.

Royal 5K event update

Further updates for the Royal 5K Fun Run Event


We are now only a few days away from one of the best, fun packed and celebration events of the year, apart from the wedding itself!!

FANTASTIC SPOT PRIZES TO BE GIVEN!!

We are excited to announce that Trattoria Italiana on Devonshire Road have kindly offered a voucher prize 'Lunch for two' for the best dressed Bride and Groom!

No.48 Cafe are going to award the winners of the kids races with a tasty No.48 Special Ice Cream Sundae - Exactly what's needed after a run!

C-Side Cafe have happily offered a £10.00 meal voucher to be collected on the day for a lucky competitor

This should get your motivation on to join in on the event!

The race route is on closed roads, to ensure the safety of all competitors and spectators and really get the local community involved.

The road closures will be in place from 7.30am - 12pm (Lunchtime).

The following roads will have no access or parking allowed within the above times: Devonshire Road from Parkhurst Road junction, West Parade, Marina, there will be no access to this part of the seafront via Sackville Road, Egerton Road, Brockley Road and Richmond Avenue.

Not long now until the BIG DAY!

We are now only a few weeks away from the big day, lots of speculation in the press around the stag and hen parties and even more speculation around what is happening at the Royal 5K fun run!

The route has been finalised and will comprise of a fast, flat out and back course, starting and finishing at Bexhill HighStreet, Devonshire Road, Bexhill. The runners will be taken on to the promenade towards Cooden Beach, and then return along the same route to a spectacular finish on Devonshire Road.

The event will be on closed roads for the duration, there will be some great spectator points, remember, the race is to celebrate a Historic Day and gives everyone a chance to dress up and maybe even win a prize!! 


Get all you friends and family involved, come down and celebrate the wedding in fine style and add something a little different to this special day!


There will be prizes for the Best Fancy Dress Competitor and the best Fancy Dress Marshal!


All Race numbers and Timing Chips will be collected on Race Day.  This will be in the Registration Marquee in Bexhill HIghStreet, Devonshire Road from 7:30am.


All kids races ( 500m / 1km / 2km ) are sign on the day.

Race Update
